Assam is one of the 8th North-Eastern states of India known for rich wildlife sanctuary and abundant of natural settings. Manas National Park or Manas Wildlife Sanctuary located in Assam is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, a Project Tiger Reserve, An Elephant Reserve as well as Biosphere Reserve. Safari Types In Kaziranga National Park :-
Situated 180 kilometer away from Guwahati, the area of Manas National Park is near Manas River which is one of the major tributaries of River Brahmaputra.
Climatic Conditions :-
Manas National Park and its outskirts receives semi-tropical climate with summer hot and mild winters. The park enjoys heavy rainfall during the monsoon season that makes the park inaccessible. The months of May and June are the hottest months when the temperature raises up to 37 degree Celsius and high humidity.
Best Time To Visit Manas National Park :-
Although Manas National Park is open round the year but the best time to visit the park is between the months of February to October. The climate during this period is pleasant and the chance of catching the fauna in the park is highest. It is not advisable to visit the park during monsoon season due to heavy rain. Summer season is also not favorable due to unfavorable climatic condition. The winter season is beautiful and pleasant here.
Flora Found In The Hollongapar Gibbon Sanctuary :-
Gibbon Wildlife Sanctuary is an abode of several hundred species of plants, herbs, shrubs and trees that are scattered in the entire expanse of forest area. The most presiding plant species found here are hoolong trees. Some other prominent species available here are Amari, Dewa Sam, Himolu, Garjan etc.
Jeep Safari in Kaziranga National Park is permitted on designated tourist's path that is decided by the forest officials. Currently the areas covered in a Jeep Safari are as following:

By Road :Manas National Park has an excellent connectivity with all major cities of Assam. Private/state government buses are easily available from Guwahati, Jorhat, Barpeta and other major cities in Assam.
