When a marooned monkey got a lifeline by the effort of local resident in Assam
News Update: Kaziranga National Park officials rescue team in Golaghat district of Assam rescued a badly injured monkey early today in morning when they were informed by a local resident.
Local resident named Tanisha Hassan who found this wounded monkey near her house lying delirious. Without delay she contacted PETA India and narrated the entire story. They Informed Kaziranga National Park Wildlife Authority rescue team and the monkey rescued successfully without delay.
According to Tanisha Hassan “I found a monkey whose back was totally broken and he was covered with all bruises and sprains. He was found in front of my house. I don’t know what exactly happened to him but he was not able to walk. He used his forehands to just crawl and he was injured badly. I went and fed him for some time. Then I contacted PETA India emergency care. They provided me few numbers which were temporarily out of service. Then, I Contacted local rescue team for his rescued. They arrived within 10- 15 minutes at my place. Monkey was rescued successfully. I hope he gets good treatment there and probably he will be fine soon. ”
I would like to thank PETA organization India and the Kaziranga Wildlife Rescue Team because without their help it was impossible for me to rescue my little friend, she added.
