  1. One-Horned Rhinoceros: This is the national park that holds the largest population of one-horned rhinoceros in India. She is one of the rarest species in India. According to the data, this national park is home to more than 1600 rhinos. The characteristics of this unique and wonderful animal are that it has one horn and zero hairs on its body. You will be amazed to know that Kaziranga has two-thirds of the world’s rhinos, which is no less than an achievement.
  2. Asiatic Wild Buffalo: This animal is rare as well. Animal with long horns. The thing about these animals is that they often have short legs with broad bodies. You can find them in two colors dark grey to black, both the genders male or female. The male often tends to be in darker shades and much larger in size than the female. This park is home to more than 1,500 Asiatic Wild Buffalos.
  3. Asian Elephant: Elephants are such beautiful creatures of god. They are also used for safari rides as well and this is the second most preferred activity chosen by the tourists who visit here. The first choice is still Kaziranga Jeep Safari. You can explore the entire park while sitting at their back. They often weigh up to 5 tonnes. They are of grey in color usually. The height of the male elephant is almost 9 ft and the height of the female elephant is 7.5 ft. approximately. You can generally witness them in a herd. And herd is often led by the oldest female elephant.
  4. The Tiger: Tiger, pride of India. Tigers are such interesting creatures and you won’t believe your eyes that tiger is such a beautiful animal when you will actually witness him. This national park is home to be than 100 tigers. They are born hunters. They have such sharp teeth that they can finish a body full of flesh in less than 5 mins. And strong jaw is something that comes under one of the power.

Swamp Deer: You must be wondering what is the difference between the other deers that are present in the national park and the Swamp Deer. so let us throw some light on the difference, the difference is that they have more than three tines in their antlers. In Hindi they are popularly known as “Bahra Singha” and the meaning of this in English is “twelve-horned”. This name is given to them because generally, the mature swamp deer has about 10-14 horns on average. The body length of this animal is about 4 to 6 ft. and they weigh about 170- 280 kg. This park is home to approximately 468 Swamp Deers.
