Rhino Census to be Conducted at Kaziranga from 26th March to 28th March
The 14th Rhino Population Estimation 2022 will begin at Kaziranga from 26th March to 28th March, as asserted by The Assam Forest Department. It was last completed in 2018 when the rhinoceros population was estimated at approximately 2,413.
Under the current scenario, all jeep and elephant safari in kaziranga will remain closed during the Rhino survey program. This census estimate is mandatory because it allows for the proper organization of records and improves the functioning of the census estimate, as DFO has said.
This management will look after the estimation and lead to a better agreement.
