Safari in Kaziranga – Fills Your Bucket with Thrill
One of the highlights of visiting Kaziranga is the opportunity to embark on exhilarating safaris that take you deep into the heart of the wilderness. Jeep safaris are the most popular way to explore the park, offering a chance to traverse the verdant land and terrains and witness wildlife in their natural habitats. The open-air jeeps provide unobstructed views, allowing for excellent photography opportunities. Early morning and late afternoon safaris are particularly rewarding, as animals are most active during these times.
For a more immersive experience, consider taking an elephant safari. Best Time to Plan for Kaziranga
Located in the Nagaon, Sonitpur and Golaghat districts of Assam, the best time to plan a tour of Kaziranga National Park is from November to March. The national park restricts the entry of tourists and halts safari activities from June onwards, till October, due to the monsoon season. Just after the departure of the rainy season, the lush green forest welcomes tourists across the country and the cool and pleasant weather from November to March fully favours the safari activities. Although summer arrives in April to May, the wildlife sighting is at its peak. Therefore Kaziranga records a significant footfall of tourists even in the summers, solely for the enthusiasm for encountering the wildlife and nature from close. To sum up, except for June to September, the rest of the months are suitable for enjoying safari in Kaziranga National Park.
