Kaziranga National Park Wins Gold in SKOCH Award
News Update: A good news has come from Kaziranga National Park. The World Heritage recognized site has won gold in SKOCH Award in the ‘’Forest’’ Category for the extension, consolidation and improvement of wildlife habitat for the year 2022.
The announcement of this great news was done via the twitter handle of the Assam forest department.
The tweet says, “We are proud to share that Kaziranga has won SKOCH Award- Gold in “Forest” category for “Expansion, Consolidation and Improvement of Wildlife Habitat”.”
The announcement was made on the SKOCH website on January 9, 2023.
The other awardees of the SKOCH 2022 include silver in the field of health by Health and Family Welfare Services, Government of Karnataka; silver in the Digital-Economy category by Kashmir Mercantile Cooperative Bank Limited; silver in the field of Innovation by District Rural Development Agency (DRDA)-Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh, silver in the field of governance by Delhi Commission for Protection of Child Rights, Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi and many more.
