Kaziranga National Park to open for tourists from October 1
After viewing the improved situation of Covid Pandemic in the state, Assam Government has decided to reopen the national parks and wildlife sanctuary fromOctober 1.
The catastrophe of second wave of Covid-19 has kept people in huge despair so the Assam government had decided to close all national parks and wildlife sanctuaries on May 3. Now the situation is better than before hence the reopen of national parks with proper safety would be great news for wildlife freaking tourists.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma divulged on Wednesday, “Government has planned to lift more Covid-19 restrictions and will cover many regions of the state from October 1, particularly in wildlife areas.” This decision made by Assam Government has brought travelers in lively state.
With the Covid 19 restrictions and measures, travelers can enjoy Kaziranga National Park wildlife tremendously as stated by Himanta Biswa Sarma.
He also stated that vaccinated visitors are open to enjoy fully the beauty of nature and can have the breathetaking views of wildlife tourist destinations in the state.
The chief minister also mentioned that the double protection for wild animals will be there via construction of corridor over the highway passing through Kaziranga National Park.
The program for destroying a stockpile of 2479 rhino horns at Bokakhat near Kaziranga National Park indicated conveyance of strong message against Rhino poaching and dispel. This program attended by Himanta Biswa Sarma.
As per the Assam government, horned rhinoceros population in Assam was kept increasing in numbers like this from 1,672 in 1999 to 2652 as per the 2018 year.
The one-horned rhinoceros destructions on huge number worldwide has made the Government decide on taking strict measures to protect the rhino and other wild animals protections, Himanta Biswa Sarma said.
