Kaziranga National Park Reopens for tourists from October 2

The Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudeva of the Isha Foundation formally reopened the Kaziranga National Park for tourists for the forthcoming season on Saturday, October 2. The Elephant safari and the jeep safari in the national park were closed from the monsoon season in May. The Assam Government decided to reopen the national park and the wildlife sanctuary.

The Chief Minister and Sadhguru accompanied by the Tourism Minister also undertook the jeep safari at the national park. The Situation is better than before hence the reopening of the national park with proper safety would be great news for wildlife enthusiasts.


Sadhguru urged people to come to Assam and relish the wildlife. Also, a memorandum was signed on the sustainable use of soil for agricultural practices. The Awareness about the importance of eco-tourism in the northeast for the development of the region and the national park was also spread among the people for sustainable and responsible tourism.


Tourism is one of the easiest industries to develop and also the eco-friendly one which also engages a lot of people without ripping apart the land, as concluded in the conference citing the examples of the African nations that have monetized their natural tourism potential without harming the environment.
