Jungle Safari in Kaziranga National Park

Kaziranga National Park houses two thirds of the famous one horned rhino in the world. If your cup of tea is an endangered species then Kaziranga is just for you to visit. This park is highly recommended for spotting wild animals and a splendid combination of flora, fauna and brilliant complementary ecosystem. If you enjoy watching jungles stuffed with birds, animals and their certain activities excites you then this trip belongs to you. Well Kaziranga is a lot more than one horned rhino and all substantial jungle assets are here to mesmerize you.

Being in the different zones and different modes are enriching moments for your vacation. Spending time and money here in wildlife and jungle safari is totally worth it.

After my vacation of 2 days I became a fan of Kaziranga forest and want to share my experience with you guys so that you all can also have some good share of wildlife in Kaziranga National Park.

My First Jeep Safari Experience

I preferred early morning Jeep Safari and what I liked most about this jeep safari:

1.   We stayed at an amazing resort which was very close to the jeep safari in the Central zone in Kaziranga.
2.   The best thing about the Central zone is that you can easily experience the view of one horned rhino and other animal species.
3.   The jeep arrived sharp at 7 am and in very less time around 10 to 15 min we headed to the jungle I mean at the park entrance of the Central Zone.
4.   We were examined if we carried bottles and food items as all these are not allowed inside the park and ticket checking at the counter must be document ready which you have used while booking online to avoid last minute issues.
5.   We came across heavy and candid flora and fauna that was accentuating well to the lane and making it quite narrow where our vehicle also passed through.
6.   Our way to Brahmaputra river made us spot the couple of one horned rhino and wild buffaloes in bulk and that was the perk of the day.
7.   I discovered one more thing that you should always be well behaved and calm before wild animals. If they are provoked they can attack humans.

My First Elephant Safari Experience

Now I would like to share with you my story about elephant safari and how exciting it was for us.

1. This is true that the Elephant safari zone is limited to only western areas yet you won’t regret spending some quality jungle ride at the back of the elephant.
2. Elephant safari makes you wonder at the separate route unlike Jeep.
3. Slow and steady ride of the elephant safari in Kaziranga has its own charm and makes you discover the jungle in a unique way.
4. What a sight to behold when you take elephant safari in Western zone where Tiger is famed to be spotted most probably.
5. We spotted some migratory birds and some of the unique views which were priceless.
6. After half an hour of elephant safari we came across Assamese pelicans.

Final Words

I would say both elephant and jeep safari had their own peculiarities. I won’t compare which is better as they are respectively cannot be weighed against each other. It depends on your choice and preferences. I truly say my first time experience with both safaris is full of exquisiteness and incomparable.
