More than 50000 Tourists Visited Kaziranga National Park within 2 Months
Since Oct 1 Kaziranga National Park has been open and the huge number of tourists more than 50000 has visited the park till date. The craving for the view of this park is increasing day by day after the pandemic over.
Undoubtedly we need to thank Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for reopening Kaziranga for tourists after some relaxation of Covid. After Covid, we are getting more visitors and more people are coming to the park for the perfect getaway than the past couple of years. The revenue generated from these visits is worth Rs 1 crore. The benefit from the rent of jeep safari is additional. “This time both domestic and foreign tourists both have arrived while last year’s record suggested only domestic tourists arrived in the park” , said Tulsi Bordoloi, President of Kaziranga Development and Jeep Safari Association.
The youth of the Kaziranga National Park has suggested to the Assam government to keep the park open 12 months a year for recovering the lost local bear during Covid 19.
Presently the park is open for six months and we are hoping that six months will turn into 12 months soon.
Jeep safari was opened from October 1 whereas elephant safari service commenced from November 1. The November month has collected the revenue of 1.62 Crore through 32,000 visitors in the park.
The park visits are increasing in number and the student visits have also increased who come here for some worthy research work.
Our economy was completely damaged over the past two years so it seems to have a good jump and recovery is in the process.
