The next morning check out from the hotel and drive to Shillong, the capital city of Meghalaya. Begin the sightseeing by visiting the Ward’s Lake.

This is a tranquil spot in Shillong to soak in nature. It has been a man-made lake since the Colonial era and was named after Sir William Ward. After visiting Elephant Falls have lunch and visit Shillong Peak, the ultimate spot for the day. It is the highest viewpoint of Shillong, which offers breathtaking panoramic views of the entire Shillong city. Indulge in shopping at the Police Bazaar in the evening. Retreat to your accommodation, wrapping up for the day and the next morning head towards Kaziranga National Park bidding farewell to Shillong. 

Kaziranga National Park

You need to start early from Shillong to reach Kaziranga National Park. The distance between the two spots is around 226 km and might take up to 4 and half hours to cover the distance. Reaching there in time is necessary so that you can enjoy the Kaziranga Jungle Safari. Multiple slots are available from morning till evening for which you need to conduct booking for jeep safari. The Bengal tigers are the main attraction of Kaziranga National Park, which are very rare to spot and are a matter of luck. Other than the tigers, other species of fauna residing in the forest are Bengal foxes, golden jackals, leopards, jungle cats, fishing cats and many more.

Mark the end of the trip at Kaziranga. Check out from the resort the next morning and transfer to Guwahati for scheduled departure.
