Big News for Wildlife Explorers! Elephant Safari Resumes at Kaziranga National Park without Compromising Covid 19 Protocols

News update Assam: The Kaziranga National Park Tiger Reserve, the world’s safest address for the one-horned rhinoceros, reopened Jeep Safari on October 21 after seven months. After Jeep, Elephant Safari at Kaziranga was resumed on Sunday, 1st November.

According to Kaziranga National Park director P. Sivakumar, “Elephant Safari is one of the major attractions of the park. We resumed the safari ride from Sunday but had to reduce the number of seats from 60 to 40 per day in order to maintain physical distance”.

Parimal Suklabaidya, Minister of Excise, Forest and Environment and Fisheries, Assam applauded the resumption of elephant safari at the Kaziranga National Park.

Many special arrangements have been made with the reopening of the park. Protocols related to corona have also been implemented this year along with general rules. Apart from roaming in jeep safari at Kaziranga Park, tourists will also be able to ride elephants now. It is being speculated that due to the resumption of elephant and jeep ride in Kaziranga National Park, the tourist trend will increase here.
