Angry Rhino Attacks Man at Kaziranga National Park of Assam
The conflict between man and animal is obvious and frequent when one of these enters another’s habitat. One such incident came out in kohora range of Kaziranga National Park, Assam when a man entered the core area of KNP was attacked by female Rhino. A man has been taken to hospital after he was seriously injured in attack of a rhino. The victim has been identified as Deepak Goala of Sildubi village near Kaziranga National Park.
As per the forest department official information, a man (Deepak Goala) entered the Kohora range that is the buffer area of the forest without the knowledge of forest personnel and he was seriously injured when female rhino gazing in the area attacked him.
A rhino attacked him multiple times and the youth received serious injuries in different parts of the body, the family members of the victim immediately admitted him in the Jorhat Medical College and Hospital (JMCH) for treatment.
As per family sources, Deepak entered the Kaziranga National Park in Mihi Tenga area to excrete in the open in the morning. But unfortunately he was attacked by a female rhino having calf in the area. Any how he escapes to death.
According villagers and forest officials, the incident took place as the man had entered the Kaziranga National Park without taking the permission from the national park officials.
This is the second incident of rhino attack this year. The last incident that took place on 18th January this year in which a man was killed by rhinoceros in Hatikhuli Tea Estate near Kaziranga National Park. The killed person was identified as Dhunda Bhumji. The slain person was seriously injured in his chest and back due to the attack by the furious rhino. The deceased came under attack in the morning when he was excreting in open.
